This is a follow up blog on my article about the point of gaming in general where Ventus ripped everything I said out of proportion and flamed me for apparently, well, flaming them.
I really want the 3 guys reading this to understand one thing. I might be a troll at times and I might not seem sensible on various occasions, but I am not a complete retard.
I don't attempt to acquire a massive reader base or cash in lots of hits for the site. I simply took an opinion that was milling around in the back of my head for a while and reinvented it in order to be relevant on current affairs on the South African Gaming Front.
I was accused by many a Ventus member that I made false claims in my article about them, which I find very amusing, since they completely missed the point once they read the word “Ventus” in my article.
Once again, I have method behind my madness, I write things as I see and experience them and I have my evidence. One part physical and the other part sociological.
This afternoon I received a private message on IRC from Cyrus concerning their eGamer article, where he pasted me the link and excitedly added that I should let him know what I think. I then went ahead and did what he asked.
As I read the article I felt this warm wave of bigoted twaddle running through it. The whole way the article was written was as pro-ventus as it could have been. Even if it wasn't written by a Ventus member, there had to be some kind of influence, if not complete bias by the writer himself.
I then ASSUMED that the unmistakable tendency in the article and the excited pasting of the article by Ventus' leader means that it was condoned by him?
But for the sake of our friends here that are not too intelligent or attentive ( I think we all know who I speak of but for the sake of me not getting more people knocking on my door with eggs in their hands, I will refrain from doing so) I will go on and give you the actual physical text based events that lead to my opinion. I do though encourage you to develop a brain in the near future to understand that sometimes, and especially in law, conduct plays a huge role in someones actions, it doesn't have to be textually or verbally based to legally exist. But now now, I did make a promise.
First there was this piece I got from the advertising article of the eGamer review that you can find on the Ventus site, written by phant1m . Except for Cyrus using his incredible knowledge of history to try and imitate Joseph Stalin in his business strategy for Ventus (Yes they're a registered Closed Corporation as of late) the bottom of the article caught my attention, and I quote :
Quote: Such an endeavour by eGamer is a worthy one and we look forward to reading their next Clan Review.
If that doesn't reek of approval, I'd be damned. It's right there ladies and gentleman.
But lets move on a bit to something interesting a player or two posted to me coming from the very famous and very incredibly oldschool (I hope I did this right, you really made this clear to me) Jeeva:

I would've loved to read that myself from the old sport, but I was gracefully escorted from the Ventus IRC channel by the incredibly talented and sensible Ventus Quake Super-Star, after being once again misunderstood, you know, like those goth kids who really just want to be themselves and stuff.
This, even though it happened quite a while after my article, keeps proving my point which so many people shoot down with their internet letterGUNS.
So on a basis of Cyrus' actions, Jeeva's outings and Phant1ms clear favour. I am led to assume and firmly believe, and I hope this is not higher grade for you guys out there, that Ventus actually does agree with the statements of them being the best in the article.

Lets hold hands and move on to the next section of my article. This is like turning the page when the gong goes off, you know those books you read when you were 5?
Alright, my final point and conclusion of this really slowly progressive and easy-to-read-because-I-kept-holding-your-hand opinionated blog is this:

I typed that about 2 minutes after reading this, and yes guys, this is the part I referred to as the Joseph Stalin effect. I quote phant1m from his article once more:
Venter also mentions his personal 1 year, 2 year, 5 year mission for Ventus. Here is a summary:

2011: Ventus has secured enough sponsors to send their teams to various events around the country with all expenses paid.
2012: We start going international by sending teams over to international events.
2015: We own a office similar to that of SK where our players can regularly bootcamp.
Well vent-toys-are-us, the whole article was based on this point I was trying to make. Read very carefully now and if needed rinse and repeat.
I wasn't insulting you (wow totally bold claim, look at this guy). I was simply trying to get into your heads that in order or any gaming organization to be a success, you need to start your main power cool focus on the players and the teams.
That's when I referred to Na'Vi in the picture and the blue bulls. Na'Vi was unknown to anyone that knew anything about CS in the main scene. They still went and rocked the socks off fnatic in the finals of the Intel Extreme Masters Global Finals. This group of 5 okes went and got first place because they are 5 skilled players who work hard as a team and reach success. They will now get a shitload of sponsors because they CLEARLY deserve it.
I would like to remind you guys out there, in the crowds at ESWC totally browning their pants up at Len and his men (poetry right there) throwing free prizes into the croud or giving Vetoll a R2k computer case for knowing the name of a motherboard (Totally deserved that hey?). You guys went apeshit because you realised that if those prizes weren't excreted into the bottom feeders of society, the 5th and 6th placed HARD WORKING gamers might have received those prizes.
This is the same concept I'm referring to Ventus when I say that securing lots of sponsors doesn't make a difference to how good you actually play a game and that you should focus more on your players than everything else.
Thats it, focus on the games and not the sweets in your pocket .Guys, like, remember in grade -50 where they taught you all about metaphors? Well this is one of those, so go look at it again, its like a rubicscube or a maze puzzle thing, its tough to figure out but quite rewarding when you do succeed.
So I'll repeat : SilencE was simply saying that in order for you guys to become the best, you need to focus more on the games and less on the organization's image and its SuperCoolMagic ( I dont know what this is but according to Jeeva we'll find out in two months, you know just around that time we all stopped caring)
Lets see : SK Gaming was formed around a successful 5 man Counter-Strike dream team. DC was solely a 5 man Counter-Strike dream team. Same for the ex Evolve, Ex ID, Ex Bravado and I can go on for months but you get my point.
MYM on the other hand bought all these gamers and had the finest lineup of male virgins that any organization can only dream of and look what happened, they went down under (no Cyrus, not Australia)
So there you have it, I tried to help you guys see a pattern that international and local gaming has taught us OVER and OVER. But clearly you only saw it as a flame.
Well here was your flame.
I pat myself on the back for not swearing once and I also have to really give myself credit for totally making sense and totally DESTROYING your questions of where I get my bold claims from. Big Ups to me, HEHEHEHEHE.
I do apologise to the people that reached this part of the article that I assumed you are all Cyrus' and I wrote the whole bloggidy slowly and point based to make it easy for Pieter Venterer to read and concieve, though I am pretty sure he still doesn't get it and when he gets to read this, he will pm me saying: (this time I pre-quote)

The article had a total different point which totally went over your heads. Don't know how it happened since you guys are so reasonable, its uncanny.
