We at Bravado are excited to announce that Travis "Shase" Weedon will be joining the organization, where he will be taking up the position as leader of the Starcraft II (SC2) division.
Although SC2 is still only in its beta phase, Travis has performed strongly in local tournaments like The Fist and shows much potential for success when SC2 officially releases in late July. After some discussion with Bravado management, it became clear that Travis is a very focused individual with a similar mentality to the other gamers in the organisation. This made him an obvious choice and we are eagerly anticipating Shase representing Bravado and South African Starcraft. Travis intends to pick himself some team-mates later on, after SC2 has officially released and the local scene has become more stable and established.
Travis is no stranger to the South African Gaming scene, having achieved notable success in three other games. He has also previously been part of names such as 0wn3d, Pantheon and Section 8. Most recently he finished fourth at the rAge 2009 Quake 3 Tournament behind Spart1e, link1n and Ph4ntom. Due to Ph4ntom being unable to attend, Travis was sent to Dreamhack in Sweden to participate in the Quake Live tournament, where he was unable to make it past the group stages. You can read more about that here, at Do Gaming.
